It is a narrow,
green strip clinging to the South Western tip of India,
well endowed by both history and geography and it draws the tourist,
Trader, Historians and nature
lovers. It could perhaps be said that, Periyar-the land of pepper and
spices was the enchanting destination that attracted visitors to the
shores of Kerala from ancient times. Some came for trade and others
to colonize.
