The mist laden slopes of western ghats has some of the highest mountain peaks which are great places for trekking.

In the highlands of western ghats approximately 1500m above sea level there are lakes, streams, waterfalls and some of the entertaining hill stations and resorts which go in tune with the nature and area and in it’s salubrious climate grow the sprawling plantations of tea, coffee, rubber, pepper and other spices.

    It has some of the best hill resorts with sprawling tea plantations, and highest mountain peak, it is an ideal place for trekking.  There are locations in Munnar from where the wild animals could be seen at close quarter.  Apart from this there are many picnic spots in and around Munnar which makes it a must visit place.
